Devashish Kogata, Owner of Trendy Crafts Udaipur, shares his perspective on life, happiness and entrepreneurship. He expresses that when people ask him what he does in life, his first answer is that he enjoys life. He believes that the most important thing in life is not business or other achievements, but staying happy, something he feels is rare in today’s time.

He explains that a person may have a successful business and many good things in life, but if they are not happy, those things hold no real value. For him, happiness is the top priority, as it reflects in his behavior with his family, where he communicates better, spends time with them, listens to them and strengthens relationships. He also shares that when he remains happy, his business grows naturally and people interact with him positively and attentively.

Devashish Kogata mentions that he guides CA students who come to him and tells them that the most difficult subject in life is not CA, engineering, or medical studies, but learning how to stay happy. He emphasizes that if a person learns to live happily, it becomes the most important skill in life. He also highlights how people often get disturbed by small issues, but according to him, the situation is simple. If there is no problem in life, there is no tension. If there is a problem and it has a solution, then there is no need to take tension. Even if there is a problem without a solution, even then there is no point in taking tension.

He further shares on a serious note that he has many friends and knows many chartered accountants. During his time in Mumbai, when he lived in RVG hostel among thousands of people for three years, he never found anyone who expressed complete satisfaction with their job. Based on this, he suggests that if a person has any passion or idea, they should consider building a career in business. He explains that when a person works hard for others, it often feels suppressed, but when the same effort is applied for oneself, even if it is double, it feels fulfilling.

He describes business as a field where, if one has a product or idea, the entire world becomes a potential customer. A person can sit anywhere and sell anything across the world with the right idea and effort. He also shares a valuable lesson given by his father, who told him that if someone wants to start a business or any new venture, they must have the patience of one thousand days. He explains that success does not come immediately and if a person consistently puts in effort for those thousand days, the returns afterward make the patience worthwhile, without any regret.

He concludes by encouraging people to consider entrepreneurship, stating that India needs more entrepreneurs. He highlights that India is a fast-growing economy offering many opportunities and if a person applies their mind to business, they can definitely achieve significant success.
