“हल्दीघाटी का युद्धस्थल में,
वादी मान खड़ा हविचल,
चेतक चारों ओर निहार रहा,
जो बेरी को ललकार रहा।

बेरी डर अपरम्पार खड़ा जो,
जो स्वप्नसंधु में ज्वार चढ़ा,
रणभेरी रुख-रुख बजती थी,
वीरों की भुजा फड़कती थी।

हल्दीघाटी जब सजती थी,
रण चंडी स्वयं मचलती थी,
संकेत मिला जो राणा का,
चेतक बिजली-सा टूट पड़ा।

मानो कमान से ममता की श्रद्धा का जलधार छूट पड़ा,
कटार ध्वनियाँ, आतुर अंबर,
चेतक बढ़ रहा निरंतर था।

बढ़ने को सब बढ़ते ही थे,
बढ़ने-बढ़ने में अंतर था,
पशु होकर भी तुमने चेतक मानव महिमा को निभा दिया,
मेवाड़ पताका को ऊँचे अंबर तक उड़ा दिया।

राणा प्रताप के साथ चेतक,
आज तुमको शत-शत वंदन,
पावक से पूत चरित्र चेतक,
रो इस माटी का अभिनंदन।
